Are wellbeing dimensions differentially related to employee proactive behavior? The joint moderating effects of knowledge job demands and empowering leadership

The aim of this article was to investigate the conditions under which dimensions work-related wellbeing (i.e., serenity, social harmony, and involvement) can be beneficial for employee proactive behavior (PB). Based on theories activation theorization about influence performance, we proposed that contribution PB depends type challenge knowledge job demands; KJDs) level stimulation empowering leadership) employees experience in their jobs. Data were collected from Canadian (N = 602) through a two-wave study. As predicted, findings indicated KJDs leadership jointly interacted with serenity involvement predict PB. High levels found strengthen effect interactions between KJDs, intensify positive relationship among high KJDs. We discuss implications these theory management workplaces.
